Vantage Data Centers is expanding its footprint in Virginia with a $2 billion, 192MW campus near Fredericksburg in Stafford County. The campus will be Vantage’s fourth in Virginia and brings the company’s statewide capacity to 782MW with a combined investment of approximately $8bn.

“The Fredericksburg region offered a significant opportunity for Vantage to serve our customers seeking capacity and access to the resources of Data Center Alley without being in the high congestion zone,” said Dana Adams, president, North America at Vantage Data Centers.

“Virginia has been a cornerstone of Vantage’s North American growth since we first entered the market in 2017, and we’re pleased to expand our presence to the Fredericksburg region—helping establish it as a meaningful digital hub while contributing to the area’s economic growth and technological advancements.”

“Vantage Data Centers will create hundreds of jobs and support Stafford’s growing reputation as a technology hub across the Commonwealth,” said Darrell English, Hartwood District, Stafford County board of supervisors. “This project brings advanced infrastructure that powers the technologies we rely on more and more every day, while strengthening our local economy and business community.”
