DOE Selects $1.9B In Grid Projects To Unlock 23GW Of Capacity
The U.S. Department of Energy has revealed that it intends to put $1.9 billion of federal funding behind 31 grid-improvement projects in 26 states, a package aimed at adding transfer capacity for data centers and other large loads, the work making more than 23 gigawatts of additional electricity capacity available.

French energy company Valorem has revealed plans for a data center in Savonlinna, Finland on a 32-hectare site in the Nätkin industrial area, with the first phase expected to provide 30–50MW from 2028 and expand beyond 100MW by 2032.
