Real estate investment firm Thor Equities has submitted plans for a 150MW data center in Kingston, Bartow County, Georgia. Filed through Thor Acquisitions WC LLC, the $1 billion project is targeted for completion in 2030.

Dubbed the Kingston Technology Hub, the project is expected to generate around $2 million in annual tax revenue and create about 50 full-time jobs. The site will cover 350,000 sq ft (32,500 sqm). Thor estimates the facility will use around 50,000 gallons of water per day.

Founded in 1986, Thor Equities has traditionally focused on retail, residential, and industrial properties worldwide. Its Form8tion unit, established in 2023, oversees its data center developments. In June, Thor sued the city of Urbana, Ohio, after it imposed a data center moratorium that disrupted the company’s planned project and investments.GettyImages-164852768.width-358.jpg
