An edge data center has been launched in Mumbai by Techno Digital, the digital infrastructure arm of Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited (TEECL). The Mumbai Edge Data Center, located in Mahalakshmi, South Mumbai, delivers 800kW of capacity across 55 racks and is connected to RailTel Corporation of India’s 63,000km fiber backbone.
The facility was developed in partnership with RailTel Corporation of India as part of a broader plan to deploy a distributed edge data center network across more than 100 cities in India. After Mumbai, Techno Digital intends to roll out five more edge sites in quick succession, with a long-term goal of reaching 102 locations over the next three to four years and a total capacity of 200MW.
