Stack Infrastructure has announced its plans to develop a large data center campus in Frankfurt. The company is looking to develop an 80MW facility in a former Coca-Cola bottling plant in the German city. Stack Infrastructure acquired the 17-acre parcel from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Deutschland GmbH (CCEP DE). The company has operated the plant for over 50 years. Stack did not share the timeline for the data center development. However, it noted that the data center campus would host four facilities, including sustainable initiatives like harvesting rainwater and providing local residential development with excess heat from the facility.

The CEO of Stack EMEA, John Eland, said: “Stack prides itself on being a trusted partner to our clients. We recognize that there is an overwhelming demand for fast, flexible, resilient, and efficient data center infrastructure in Frankfurt, so we’ve taken up the call to deliver exactly what our clients expect. We relish the opportunity to be a positive force in the local community while delivering world-class solutions backed by STACK’s global platform.”

IPI Partners launched Stack Infrastructure in 2019. Stack was traditionally focused on developing facilities in the US, but it has ventured into Europe after IPI acquired Digiplex, Safe Host, and Supernap Italia under the Stack Infrastructure banner.
