US data center developer Skybox and real estate firm Prologis have filed plans for another data center near Austin, Texas. The companies filed an application with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for Skybox Hutto 4. Located at 3399 County Road 132 in Hutto, Williamson County, Building 4 is planned as a single-story core-and-shell facility intended for future use as a data center.
Construction of the 846,300 sq ft (78,625 sqm) building is scheduled from January 2027 to October 2028, with Skybox investing $550 million in the project. The site owner is listed as Hutto Data Center Campus LLC, an affiliate sharing an address with real estate firm Prologis, a known Skybox partner. Hutto is part of the wider Austin area, around 28 miles (45km) northeast of the city.
Skybox filed plans for Hutto 1 in October 2023, followed by Hutto 2 and 3 in 2024. Hutto 4 will be the largest at 846,300 sq ft (78,625 sqm), compared with 235,720 sq ft for Hutto 1 and 2, and 492,350 sq ft for Hutto 3. The site is part of Skybox and Prologis’ PowerCampus, planned for 600MW of IT capacity across 3.88 million sq ft. Skybox and Prologis have partnered on several data center projects since 2021.
