Samsung Electronics Leases Space at Digital Realty Data Center in Seoul, South Korea

Samsung Electronics has become a colocation customer at Digital Realty’s data center in Seoul, South Korea.Samsung Electronics, the technology division of South Korean conglomerate Samsung, will host its enterprise IT workloads at Digital Realty’s ICN10 colocation data center in Sangam Digital Media City, Seoul.

 The terms of the agreement, including the leased capacity and financial details, have not been disclosed. 

“Providing enterprise-grade infrastructure at ICN10 reflects Digital Realty’s ability to support large-scale customer environments in Korea,” said Chris Han, head of Korea at Digital Realty. “We remain committed to delivering stable, high-performance infrastructure that meets the operational needs of global enterprises.”

Digital Realty has operated ICN10 since 2022, offering up to 12MW of IT capacity across 132,000 sq ft (12,265 sqm) of space.

The company first announced the facility in 2019 and broke ground in June 2020, with an original target go-live in 2021.

In 2021, Digital Realty also announced a second South Korea data center, Digital Seoul 2 (ICN11), planned to provide 64MW across nearly 1 million sq ft (92,903 sqm) and initially expected online by H1 2023, though it does not yet appear on the company’s website.
