Verizon's former Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office and data center is available for purchase or lease. It has been put up for sale or lease by Colliers and Sampson Morris Group at 5400 Campbells Run Road. The 10-acre, 1959-built office and data facility features 130,000 rentable square feet and is currently for sale for $8.9 million or lease for $7.95 per square foot triple net.
There is a wide variety of businesses that would be a good fit for the C-5 zoning of this land. According to Colliers, the land might be ideal for various uses, including a data center, research laboratory, medical facility, or factory. There is 3 MW of electricity available at the site, plus a 2 MW backup generator and redundancy. The current data center has a 400 KW UPS that can be upgraded to 1.2MW.
Two further office buildings in the Campbells Run Business Park are currently for sale by US real estate firm Sampson Morris, located at 5440 and 5460 at Campbells Run Road. It is unclear when Verizon departed the property; however, local business directories indicate that the building was once used as a Verizon Mega Center. The structure was apparently constructed in the 1950s for the benefit of the Calgon Carbon Corporation.
