Nexus Data Centers has filed plans for a new data center project in Texas.
The company has submitted an application to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for a facility at 357 HCR 3372 in Hubbard, Hill County. The Nexus – Apex DFW HB1 project will span 491,380 sq ft (45,650 sqm), with construction on the $400 million development scheduled from January 2026 to October 2027.

Hubbard is located south of the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area and northeast of Waco. Nexus Data Centers, a developer backed by Transition Equity Partners, was previously reported in December to be targeting a 600MW natural gas-powered data center project in Hubbard.

Google is reportedly providing financial backing for the project, which is expected to serve Anthropic. In March, Nexus Apex Holdings secured two senior secured credit facilities from Eagle Point Credit Management to support a 2,900-acre data center and behind-the-meter energy campus. Nexus Data Centers, founded in 2020, is backed by Transition Equity Partners, a North American private equity firm focused on energy transition infrastructure.hubbard_nexus.width-358.webp
