KIO Networks: Kio Acquires a 20MW Facility in Greater Mexico City Metro Area

Kio Networks has announced the acquisition of a new data center campus in the greater Mexico City. The acquired data center is called KIO MEX6, which has a capacity of up to 20MW across 50,000 sqm. The facility is also capable of hosting telecom and critical IT services. Kio Networks also confirmed that the data center campus is carrier-neutral while also strategically located to serve businesses in Mexico.
According to Kio Networks, the new facility will strengthen the company's digital ecosystem by connecting it to many data centers globally. The managing director of Kio Data Centers, Santiago Suinaga, said: "A strategic priority for KIO is to continue growing, expanding, and deploying infrastructure in the greater Mexico City area, the largest market of the country where we have a very important presence. Our expansion responds to the great growth and high demand for data centers and IT services currently experiencing in the region, both from the Enterprise sector along with the hyperscalers and public cloud providers."
