IXcellerate announced this week that it has completed a new round of financing after raising $190 from existing and new investors. Some of the new investors include SberInvest, Mubadala Investment Company, and the Russian Direct Investment Fund. The company says the funds will be used to expand its Moscow South and North campuses. The CEO of IXcellerate, Andrei Aksenov, said the company remains one of the biggest carrier-neutral commercial data center operators. He noted that IXcellerate will continue to enable the digitalization in Russia through top-class scalability and growth opportunities.
Aksenov further commented that the funding would help in providing sustainable and ultra-powerful services and facilities to IXcellerate’s existing and future customers. IXcellerate currently operates two data center campuses in Moscow; one in Moscow North, the other in Moscow South. Moscow North has three data centers and 323,000 square feet (30,000 square meters) of space. It also has 32MW of capacity and it can offer up to 54MW upon full build-out. The company recently announced the Moscow South campus last year. The facility can be expanded to 250MW upon full build-out.
