Princeton Digital Group has announced that it raised a new round of equity led by Mubadala. Mubadala is the Abu Dhabi government’s arm, and it has put in $350 million in the equity round worth over $500 million. The round will fund PDG, which has 20 data centers across the APAC region with a total capacity of 600MW. Besides, existing shareholders like Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board and Warburg Pincus were also part of the round.

The Singapore-based data center firm provides large data center space to financial institutions, internet and cloud companies, and hyperscalers. The company has operations in Japan, Indonesia, India, and Singapore. It also plans to use the funds raised to expand across the regions in its portfolio. The CEO of real estate and infrastructure investments at Mubadala, Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi, said the company is happy to be the lead investor in PDG’s recent fundraising round while also partnering with it on its growth journey.
