Colocation firm Iron Mountain has broken ground on its planned 85MW data center campus in Mumbai, India. An opening date for the facility has not been disclosed, but once complete, it will complement Iron Mountain’s two existing facilities in Mumbai, which offer a total of 8.3MW.
Writing on LinkedIn, Rajesh Tapadia, CEO of Iron Mountain India, said: “This 85MW campus underscores both how far we've come and where we are headed. Designed for high-density, compute-intensive AI workloads, combining scale, speed-to-market, and intelligent engineering.
“Sustainability remains core to how we build for the future - from advanced cooling architectures to renewable energy matching that supports our customers’ ESG goals. As India’s AI and digital ecosystem accelerates, we are committed to building infrastructure that is not just future-ready, but responsible by design.”
