Gerald R. Ford International Airport is building a new operations and communications center, which includes, a data center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The project will cost the Company $7.7 million. Gerald R. Ford International airport says the new facility will be on the east side of the airport’s campus. The facility is scheduled to be completed in June 2022.

CEO and president of the Airport, Tory Richardson, said the new operations center would help improve communication, efficiencies, and collaboration for the airport’s teams. He added that without the team, the airport would not be able to provide the high-quality and excellent safety track record the airport is famous for. The new building will be an 11,600 square feet facility and it is designed to withstand harsh weather conditions.
