Ho Chi Minh City: Gaw To Develop a 20MW Data Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Gaw Capital Partners has announced that it will build a data center in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. The Hong Kong real estate firm revealed that it acquired 65,200 square feet (6,056 square meters) of greenfield land at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park. Gaw Capital Partners is looking to develop a facility with a 20MW capacity and a total floor area of 195,500 square feet (18,168 square meters). The data center is scheduled to be in operation by 2024.
Gaw Capital Partners’ managing director and Head of IDC Platform Asia, Kok Chye Ong, commented on the development. He said the company is happy to have a rare opportunity to become one of Vietnam’s first IDC investors. According to him, an early entry into the market places the company in a fantastic position to meet the demands in the market. Ong noted that the company aims to become Vietnam’s leading data center investor.
