NTT: NTT & QD.TEK Form JV To develop Data Center in Vietnam

NTT and QD.Tek are partnering up to build a data center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Both companies will form a joint venture called NTT Global Data Centers HCMC1 Limited Liability. The partnership will see the companies develop the new facility called Ho Chi Minh City 1 Data Center. The facility will be located in the Saigon Hi-Tech Park. It will also be a five-story building with up to 6MW in capacity spanning 33,400 square feet (3,100 square meters) of server rooms. The new data center is scheduled to be in operation in 2024.

NTT currently operates a facility in Hanoi, which opened in 2009. The company stated in a press release that it is now developing a facility in Ho Chi Minh, following the success of the one in Hanoi. It added that Ho Chi Minh is the center of the Vietnamese economy, making it a home to a lot of multinational firms.
