The owners of a former turkey farm in Leesburg, Northern Virginia, have plans to rezone part of the land for data center development. According to BizJournal, Orme Farm LLC, owners of up to 376 acres of land in Leesburg, Loudoun County, is working with an affiliate of real estate company Van Metre Cos. to rezone 12 acres of land. The companies are looking to get the land rezoned for industrial use, which will give way for data center and office development.

Worthy of note is that Van Metre is not the property buyer. Instead, it is advising the property owner and managing the entitlement process. The land in question was home to one of the largest turkey farms in the US. In the early 1940s and 1950s, the land reportedly housed around 20,000 birds.
