Evolution DC Signs Pre-Lease With Hyperscaler For First Phase Of Bangkok Data Center

Evolution Data Centres has secured an unnamed Tier 1 global hyperscaler for the first phase of its TH01 data center in Bang Na, Bangkok. The next phase will add 40MW of IT capacity designed to support AI workloads under a multi-year contract.

Plans for TH01 were first announced in June 2023, with the project initially expected to launch in 2024. Evolution is developing the site with Thai property developer Central Pattana PCL. The first 12MW phase is fully leased and scheduled to go live in Q4 2026, followed by a 40MW second phase in Q2 2027. The completed campus will span 20,470 sqm (220,335 sq ft).

Evolution also plans TH02, a 200MW, 96,800 sqm (1 million sq ft) data center in Mueang Samut Prakan District, Bangkok, scheduled for Q2 2027. Founded in 2021, Evolution is backed by Warburg Pincus and Abu Dhabi’s Zero Two. The company also has projects in the Philippines and Vietnam, including a 69MW campus near Manila and a 52MW facility in Ho Chi Minh City.evolution_dc_thailand.width-358.webp
