On Sunday, May 21st, a fire broke out at the LAX12 data center of Digital Realty in El Segundo, California. The fire led the facility to shut down two suites, and it incinerated an undisclosed number of servers, as well as cut power and locked out some users from the server space. A few days after the fire, it appeared that the afflicted suite was still inoperable.

Sunday at 1:40 a.m., according to an incident report from Evocative, a tenant at the facility, a fire broke out in the Colo 4 location within the Digital Realty building at 2260 E El Segundo Blvd. According to an account from Digital Realty, the fire suppression system started in the Colo space above row 4 and was confined to row 4 with some exposure to adjacent rows. The Colo 3 and 4 spaces were without electricity.

Evocative lost unknown number of servers, and a day later, some users stated that they were still unable to log in. After an hour or so, Colo 3's power was restored.
