Digital Realty has topped out ICN11, its second data center in Seoul, South Korea. The facility is expected to become operational in the second half of 2027.
“The topping out isn't just a construction milestone; it's a powerful symbol of what happens when incredible teams come together to build something bigger than any one of us could achieve alone,” the company said.
First announced in 2021, ICN11 (Digital Seoul 2) is a 64MW data center spanning nearly 1 million sq ft (92,903 sqm) in Gimpo City, northwest of Seoul. It was initially scheduled to open in the first half of 2023 and is now expected to launch in H2 2027. Digital Realty’s existing ICN10 facility, operational since 2022, provides up to 12MW of IT capacity across 132,000 sq ft (12,265 sqm). DPR Construction, DL E&C, Turner & Townsend, and Heerim Architects & Planners are working on ICN11.
