South Africa: Digital Parks Africa Investing R500 million (US$33.7 million) in its Samrand campus in South Africa

Digital Parks Africa is expanding its Samrand data center campus in Centurion, South Africa. The company is expanding the facility to reach 22MVA. The company announced that it would be investing up to R500 million (US$33.7 million) in expanding the facility. DPA is making the investment to meet increasing customer demands. The data center will offer 96,875 square feet (9,000 square meters) of whitespace upon completion. It will also be Uptime Tier IV construction certified.
Furthermore, the facility will have a 2(N+1) redundancy. It will also have an uptime of 99.99% due to its energy-efficient backup power system. The Managing Director and CEO of Digital Parks Africa, Menno Parsons, commented on the development. He said the company is proud to be pivotal to transforming South Africa’s digital economy.
