Africa Data Centres: Africa Data Centres To Develop Second Facility in Cape Town, South Africa

Africa Data Centres has announced its plans to expand its presence in South Africa. The company revealed that it would be developing a 20MW data center in the country. The data center will span 15,000 square meters (161,458 square feet) across eight data halls. According to ADC, the data center is still in the design stage. The company noted that it would start the development of the facility in Q4 2022, with completion scheduled for 2023.
The CEO of ADC, Tesh Durvasula, said the data center in Cape Town is a significant part of the company’s expansion initiative in the city. Africa Data Centres currently operates a data center in the Diep River side of Cape Town. The data center currently offers 2,700 square meters of IT space across three halls. The data center will offer 25MW of capacity across 6,000 square meters of IT space upon full build-out.
