Crusoe has filed plans for two data center buildings in Jayton, Texas.
According to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, both facilities will be located along Country Road 233 and P2390 at an unspecified address in Jayton, Kent County. Each data center will span 759,260 sq ft (70,540 sqm), with total investment in the site estimated at $4.8 billion. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2027, with the facilities expected to become operational in May and July 2029.

The buildings are listed as “spur buildings” of Project Hyper, suggesting the Jayton campus could serve as a satellite to Crusoe’s development in Childress. Plans for Project Hyper were filed in September for a site at 525 B CO RD 23 in Childress. The project includes three data center buildings totaling 806,360 sq ft (75,100 sqm), with an estimated $2.4 billion investment in each. Combined with the Jayton site, total Project Hyper investment could reach $12 billion. Construction has begun on two Childress buildings, with work on the third expected to start this month.

Crusoe announced in July 2026 that it was partnering with Lancium on a 1.4GW data center campus in Childress. The 270-acre, grid-connected site is owned by Lancium, which will develop and manage its energy infrastructure. The campus will include behind-the-meter solar and energy storage, while the data centers will use closed-loop cooling to reduce water consumption. Previous reports indicate Meta plans to lease capacity at the site. The project is adjacent to Iren’s Childress campus, which is leased to Microsoft. Elsewhere in Texas, Crusoe is developing a Google campus in Armstrong County and operates the Abilene site serving OpenAI, with additional capacity planned for Microsoft.
