According to multiple reports, CloudHQ plans to build a 240MW data center campus in Lisses, France. The US data center firm wants to develop two data center buildings with 710,000 square feet (66,000 square meters) which will consist of 24 data halls each. The facility will be located in the Leonardo da Vinci business park in the Essonne region.
The data center campus will span 13.7 hectares, with 12 hectares currently made up of agricultural crops. Each of the buildings in the campus would likely be fed up to 120MW by the RTE substations. Aside from the two substations, the firm also wants to install 114 backup generators and 104 cooling units at the campus.
The first of the two buildings will take close to 22 months to complete, with the data halls developed in groups of four. It would also take 22 months to develop the second building, with a full build-out expected to be reached in 2031.
