Chinese developer Chayora has revealed plans to build a data center campus in Shanghai, China. The data center campus will sit on an 8.5-acre site. In addition, the campus will have three five-story buildings with a capacity of up to 10,000 racks. Chayora also revealed that the campus would have up to 54MW capacity upon full buildout. The company plans for the first data halls to be Ready for Service by Q4 of 2022.
Co-founder and COO of Chayora, Jonathan Berney, said the company’s newest data center campus is located strategically to serve its highest demand in Shanghai and Eastern China. Berney also mentioned that the company is happy to be launching its second data center campus offering Build to Suit and Wholesale capacity at scale.
