China Mobile: China Mobile is developing a data center in Hong Kong

China Mobile International Limited (CMI) has started work on a new data center facility in Hong Kong, China. CMI is developing the facility on a 1 million square foot land in Fo Tan, Sha Tin. The facility will have multiple stories, and it will cover 103,660 square meters (1.1 million square feet). It will also accommodate more than 9,000 server cabinets.
Chairman of China Mobile International, Dr. LI Feng, said the development and future roadmap of Hong Kong are of great emphasis for the company. He noted that China Mobile is committed to the enhancement of Hong Kong as a global international information hub. According to CMI, the new data center will have an average PUE rating of less than 1.3.
