BlackLine Launches Data Center, Expands APAC

May 18, 2023 | Posted by Abdul-Rahman Oladimeji

BlackLine, Inc., a leader in accounting automation software, revealed it is expanding its operations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region by establishing a new office and unveiling a data center in Sydney. BlackLine has relocated its APAC regional headquarters to new offices on Sydney's Castlereagh Street. The company can support the market and regional employee growth while providing better local customer and partner service thanks to the collaborative workspace.

Soon, the company will establish a data center inside a Google Cloud facility in Sydney. It is anticipated that the data center will improve customer service delivery throughout the region and strengthen the company's ability to scale and support customer development. In addition to enhancing the speed and providing best-of-breed information security, it will support clients' data sovereignty needs. BlackLine anticipates that the new data center will facilitate and expedite the migration of its APAC clients to Google Cloud. The addition complements the company's existing data centers in the United States and Europe, expanding its global footprint to serve its expanding consumer base better.

BlackLine will be hosting its annual BeyondTheBlack user events this week in Sydney and Melbourne for the company's roughly 10% of APAC clients. A Finance Transformation Series event will be held in Singapore the following week.

There are 1814 data centers in Asia-Pacific (APAC).
