Datadog announces launch of new data center in Japan

Datadog has announced the launch of a new data center in Tokyo, Japan, its first in Asia. According to the company, the new facility will store and process data locally, and enable the company and its customers to comply with local data center privacy and security regulation.
Specific details regarding the data center, including specifications and location have not yet been shared.
Speaking about the new development, Amit Agarwal, President at Datadog, said that as its customers in Japan undergo rapid digital transformation, the company is dedicated to providing them with the same service that it provides in other regions. “Our new data center in Tokyo will provide our customers fast, low latency observability and security for their hybrid-cloud environments, while keeping their data in Japan,” Agarwal said.
