Ascenty: Ascenty announces launch date for its first Colombian data center

Ascenty has announced that it will launch its first Columbia data center in the fourth quarter of 2024, adding to its 34 data centers across Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Columbia that are either operational, in development or under construction. 

The company is reportedly designing two twin data centers in Colombia, offering 24 MW across both. 

The company shared with BNamericas that its focus is currently on the adaption, modernization and retrofitting of existing structures, choosing to buy buildings rather than land in Columbia. 

With an expanding presence in Columbia, it joins the likes of Equinix, Odata, and HostDime; the former is launching its second in the country this month.
