Over the next five years, AMD plans to invest approximately $400 million in India. With this investment, a new AMD campus will be constructed in Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka. This will be the company's largest design center, and it is anticipated that approximately 3,000 new engineering positions will be created by 2028.

The campus will encompass 500,000 square feet, which will include laboratory space. It will catalyze Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for India to become a global talent hub by providing enormous opportunities for their large pool of highly experienced semiconductor engineers and researchers.

The corporation entered India for the first time in 2001 with its New Delhi location and now has over 6,500 employees there. This latest addition in Bengaluru will increase AMD's presence in India to ten sites, including facilities in Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
