Amazon Buys Two Data Centers in Massachusetts For $26.7m

According to the Worcester Business Journal, Amazon has acquired two data centers in Massachusetts. The company bought the two properties in Westborough and Grafton in Worcester County for $26.7m from State Street Corp. Amazon bought 600 and 800 Friberg Parkway in Westborough for $11.6 million. 

The building located at 600 Friberg is a State Street data center, and it spans 9,200 square meters (99,150 square feet). The 800 Friberg property is currently a greenfield land. Both properties are 19 acres combined. The property acquired in Grafton is a 14,400 square meter (155,000 square feet) building sitting on a 1.8-acre plot at Centennial Drive. Amazon paid $15.1m for the property.
