Aligned has plans for a massive expansion at its Plano data center campus in the Dallas Fort Worth area of Texas. The Dallas Morning News was the first to report the development. Aligned already filed with the Plano planning commission to develop a second building on its Plano campus. The company currently operates a single-story 9,300 square meter (100,000 square feet) data center at 2800 Summit Avenue.  It now plans to develop a 20,440 square meter (220,000 square feet) three-story building at the site.

Aligned renovated, and launched its DFW-01 data center in 2015. The existing building was developed in the 1980s. It was originally being used as an office and manufacturing plant for Memory Tech Inc. Aligned has been active so far this year with plans for developments in Phoenix, Arizona; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Sterling, Virginia.
