Alibaba is planning to develop its first hyperscale data center in Thailand. The Thailand data center is scheduled to launch in 2022, and it will carry some of Alibaba’s services and solutions. Some of these include those that support Alibaba’s operation around fintech, logistics, retail, digital marketing, media and entertainment, and fintech.
Alibaba’s Cloud Intelligence General Manager for Thailand, Tyler Qiu, said the company plans to develop a data center in Thailand that will help meet the growing demand in the country. He added that the company understands the importance of digitalization for the country and the benefits the country stands to gain. Tyler Qiu finally noted that Alibaba is focused on making its solutions available to everybody.
