AirTrunk has begun work on an expansion of its Tokyo, Japan, TOK1 campus. Senior AirTrunker personnel and construction partners attended a traditional "jichinsai" Shinto launching ceremony to spiritually sanctify the land in preparation for safe and efficient construction. No timelines for completion were provided.

The 13.25-hectare site in Inzai Chiba Prefecture is scalable up to 300MW across seven structures. Originally, the campus was to have 600,000 square feet of technical space across 42 data facilities upon completion. The company's website now indicates that the campus will encompass 102 data centers and 861,110 square feet of white space.

The first stage of TOK1 was delivered in 45 weeks and introduced in November 2021 after being announced in September 2020. The company's second Tokyo campus is known as TOK2. Initially announced in May 2022, the corporation is simultaneously constructing the first two buildings on the site.

In addition to its two Tokyo campuses, AirTrunk operates and develops data center campuses in Singapore, Hong Kong, Johor, Malaysia, 3 in Sydney, and Melbourne, Australia.
