Viking Data Centers

Viking Data Centers is a privately held company based in Akron, Ohio. It owns a 380,000-square-foot former Goodyear tire plant at 428 South Seiberling Street in East Akron, built in 1919 and later used by Maxion Wheels, on a 21.5-acre site.

The company opened the building as a data center in 2021 and built its own substation on the site. It leases space and power to crypto mining customers and markets the site for AI computing. SOLAI Limited, formerly BIT Mining, has run bitcoin mining at the site as a tenant since 2021. Ohio Edison delivers power to the site.
