The Bavarian State Parliament has allocated over €270 million ($283m) to expand the North Bavarian High-Performance Computing Center (NHR@FAU) at Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU) Erlangen-Nuremberg.

The Erlangen National High Performance Computing Center (NHR@FAU) at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is a member of the German NHR Alliance. It provides High Performance Computing (HPC) services and expertise to universities all over Germany.
