Helios Nordic Energy Finland Oy is the Finnish subsidiary of Sweden's Helios Nordic Energy AB, founded in 2019 by Andreas Tunbjer, Magnus Rahm, and Johan Lundin. The Finnish entity was incorporated in January 2023, registered under Finnish business ID 3335744-4, and headquartered in Helsinki. Rather than operating facilities, Helios works as a land and project developer, managing site selection, permitting, and grid connection before handing projects to investors once they reach ready-to-build status. Since 2024, the company has been owned by SunMind, a subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, and remains led by group CEO Andreas Tunbjer. Helios has recently expanded from its core solar and battery-storage business into data center land development, including an early-stage project near Iisalmi, Finland.
This data center campus, planned by Helios Nordic Energy near Iisalmi in central Finland, is currently in the early permitting stage, with a zoning initiative submitted to the municipality. An area of more than 100 hectares has been reserved for the project, which remains conditional on approval and further development.
