Equifax to Decommission Data Center outside Atlanta

Atlanta
In January 2026, the Spalding County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a massive $3.9 billion data center campus, marking a major expansion for the region's digital infrastructure. Spearheaded by Wallace Jackson LLC, the project is slated for a 190-acre site in Griffin.
The approved plans outline a campus of nearly five million square feet across ten buildings, intended to meet the soaring demand for AI and cloud computing. This development is part of a growing hub in the county, joining two other recently approved projects to potentially create over 11 million square feet of data center space in the area by 2035.
