Valencian renewable energy company Valfortec is developing a €300 million ($343.6 million) data center campus in Elche, near the Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport in Spain.

As one of the largest digital infrastructure developments announced in the Valencian Community, the facility is designed to meet growing cloud computing and artificial intelligence demands. Operating at a target power usage effectiveness (PUE) under 1.2, it connects directly with local solar, wind, and battery storage assets, such as the nearby El Lobo-Jarandilla solar plant. The Valencian Government has designated the scalable complex as a project of regional interest, estimating it will create 800 to 1,000 jobs and add €2.1 billion to €4 billion to regional GDP over the next five to ten years.
