Italian telecommunications provider Unidata has partnered with private equity firm Azimut Libera Impressa to develop UniCenter, a new green and carrier neutral data center in Rome.

The project is backed by a combined €57 million ($65.6 million) investment, with Azimut holding a 75% stake and Unidata holding 25% alongside operational management. The wholesale only facility will deliver its power capacity across more than 2,000 racks and 140,000 square feet of space. Designed to meet strict Tier IV quality standards, the data center will be entirely powered by renewable energy sources.
