Travagliato Data Center

The proposed Travagliato Data Center is a large-scale, artificial intelligence-focused facility planned for a 130,000 m² site along Via Averolda in Travagliato (Brescia, Lombardy, Italy).

Developed by Edge Gate (filed locally as East Gate Srl) and designed by The Blossom Avenue Partners, the greenfield project involves constructing a two-story warehouse building covering ~48,000 m², along with an electrical transformer substation, a fire station, parking, and 60 emergency backup generators.

Scaled down from an initial larger master plan, the development is projected to bring over €11 million in local investments and municipal fees—including €524,715 in agricultural land compensation. While the initial stage focuses on high-voltage grid connections with Terna/Enel, the project has drawn local political criticism over procedural transparency and environmental concerns, prompting planned mitigation measures such as buffer zones and an ecological corridor.
