Scannell Tech Expansion

Real estate firm Scannell Properties is planning a new data center development in Monticello, tentatively called the Scannell Technology Park. The project is slated for a 106-acre parcel situated between the Otter Creek Crossing Industrial Park to the north, 90th Street NW to the south, and abutting the Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Park to the west. Overall, the development would total 1.3 million square feet (120,774 square meters) and would be built in phases. Plans currently outline the construction of four separate buildings, each offering approximately 320,000 square feet (29,729 square meters) of space.

The land for the proposed park is currently owned by Mary and David Spike Land. The project was initially presented to the city of Monticello in early 2025. For the development to proceed, Scannell Properties must secure approval, which will first require the completion of its own environmental review.
