US investment group Pantheon Atlas announced a €12 billion ($14.1bn) hyperscale AI data center campus in Topusko, Croatia, representing the largest investment in the country's history.
The 310-acre site will be built to Nvidia Gigawatt Scale AI Factory standards, with potential expansion to 450 acres. Scheduled for construction in early 2027 and full operation by Q1 2029, the facility will be powered by an on-site solar plant and battery system developed by Greenvolt International Power.
Additionally, the project will integrate renewable energy into Croatia's national grid via four 400kV lines, driving a total projected investment of over €50bn ($58.8bn) including IT equipment.
Pantheon Atlas LLC is a transatlantic-led private investment vehicle composed of U.S. institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals, and regional development partners. The group focuses on large-scale digital infrastructure, energy transition, and advanced computing environments within European Union and NATO territories.
