Panattoni: Project Bluegrass

Site planned for 2029 and has expansions through 2035
Lot Size: 900 acres

Project Bluegrass is a proposed hyperscale data center campus being developed by Panattoni Data Centers on approximately 900 to 1,000 acres near Burgin in Mercer County, Kentucky, roughly 28 miles southwest of Lexington.

The multi-phase development features four initial buildings utilizing closed-loop liquid cooling systems to minimize environmental impact. The project is currently at the center of a local planning jurisdictional dispute, as Burgin city council members pursue the annexation of over 1,000 acres to enable municipal approval and bypass a one-year data center construction moratorium enacted by Mercer County.
