Novagen: Kouvola

Lot Size: 49 acres

An investment firm linked to the Nordic data center developer Hyperco (owned by Dubai's Damac) has signed a preliminary agreement to purchase 20 hectares of industrial land in Kouvola, Finland, for €48 million ($55 million).

Located in the Voikkaa industrial park, a 60 hectare site owned by Redeve Oy that formerly housed a UPM paper mill until 2006, the land is being targeted for data center development. While specific project details have not been disclosed, the acquisition highlights growing data center momentum in the region, where Hyperco is already developing another facility to serve TikTok, alongside projects by operators like AtNorth.
