The Nexus Hubbard Campus is located on a 2,000-acre site in Hubbard, Texas, specifically designed to support the intense power demands of AI hyperscale workloads. Developed by Nexus Data Centers and backed by Transition Equity Partners, the project is distinguished by its "behind-the-meter" strategy, utilizing on-site natural gas turbines to generate electricity independently of the Texas power grid.
A cornerstone of the project is a partnership with AirJoule Technologies, which uses 2025 Nobel Prize-winning Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) technology to capture waste heat from the data center and convert it into high-purity distilled water. This circular-economy model aims to significantly reduce the facility's environmental footprint by providing its own cooling water. Construction officially commenced in late 2025, with the first phase of data halls and AirJoule systems expected to become operational in the second half of 2026
