Australian data center company NextDC is building a new facility, SC2, in Maroochydore, Queensland. This new development will be located next to their existing SC1 facility, which is home to the Sunshine Coast International Broadband Network cable landing station. SC2 will occupy a 3,710 square meter (39,935 sq ft) plot at 10 South Sea Islander Way.

In 2021, Australian provider NextDC acquired the Edge data center site SC1 in Maroochydore, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The two-story building occupies 1,220 sq m, and give 290 sq m of technical space, enough for 84 racks.
