NextDC's proposed S7 data centre in Eastern Creek, Sydney, will provide up to 612MW of capacity, according to planning documents. The Australian developer submitted plans for the project in mid-March, several months after acquiring the 255,135 sqm site for AU$353 million (US$244m) in October 2024. At the time of the purchase, NextDC said the campus would offer up to 550MW at full build-out.

In December 2025, OpenAI and NextDC signed a memorandum of understanding under which the ChatGPT developer would use capacity at the S7 campus, with scope to expand over time. The proposed campus in Eastern Creek would comprise nine data centre buildings across three blocks, along with an on-site substation.

The project has been designated a State Significant Development and is currently undergoing environmental assessment by the New South Wales government. NextDC has six data centres in operation or development across Sydney, totaling nearly 500MW. Eastern Creek is also attracting other major projects, with Goodman proposing a separate 500MW data centre campus that could involve an investment of up to AU$5 billion (US$3.37bn).
