This facility is strategically located near the archaeological site Rishøj and the Lille Skensved railway station. It forms part of Microsoft's ambitious plan, announced in December 2020, to establish a new data center region in Denmark. This region, comprising three new data center facilities in East Zealand, is designed to be powered entirely by renewable energy.
