Maxland, a Malaysian timber company, is expanding into the data center industry through a new partnership with Global Data Centre Sdn Bhd (GDC). The company has secured a 60-year lease on 4.6 acres in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, where it plans to develop a data center facility in collaboration with GDC.
The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that also covers potential joint projects in solar and power plant development across Malaysia.
